Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors recycled Macro-Synthetic Fiber Reinforced Concrete. The results of the paper is very limited.  Only compression and flexural tests were conducted. No comparision was done with other studies. Therefore results were not enough. Futhermore following should be corrected or added:

Do not start with objective. It should be after intorduction

The parent concrete was produced with 3 and 9 kg/m3 of polypropylene fibers. Instead of wrting this, please write as Wf or Vf.

Novelty of the study is not clear. What is the new for study. What are difference between prevous ones?

Sustanability for cement and concrete production is an important subject. The authors should add a paragraph for types of recycling materials such as glass, marble, fly ash, tyres, rubbers and etc.. The following paper should be added for this purpose: influence of replacing cement with waste glass on mechanical properties of concrete; use of recycled coal bottom ash in reinforced concrete beams as replacement for aggregate; concrete containing waste glass as an environmentally friendly aggregate: a review on fresh and mechanical characteristics; mechanical behavior of crushed waste glass as replacement of aggregates;flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams using waste marble powder towards application of sustainable concrete; improvement in bending performance of reinforced concrete beams produced with waste lathe scraps; performance assessment of fiber-reinforced concrete produced with waste lathe fibers; performance evaluation of fiber-reinforced concretes produced with steel fibers extracted from waste tire; performance evaluation of fiber-reinforced concretes produced with steel fibers extracted from waste tire

Processes of material production should be included.

The reason of selecting mixture design should be added

CMOD should be defined before using it

Give for whole study in terms of Vf or Wf. Kg/m3 is not applicable for all cases.

More conclusions should be included

Give recommendations for engineers and reseaerches in conclusion

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is about recycling of macro-synthetic fiber reinforced concrete and

properties of new concretes with recycled aggregate and recovered fibers. This study is in line with the development trend of low-carbon concrete. It is recommended to accept after minor revision. The comments reported below.

Comment 1: The strength of cycled aggregate should be given.

Comment 2: The first letter of the word in the table should be capitalized.

Comment 3: The conclusions can be further improved.

Comment 4: Add reference from Applied Sciences.

Comment 5: The format of the references should be uniform.

Reviewer 3 Report

This area has been experimented by many scholers. I think the research gap need to be highlighted in order to understand what is your novelty. The study is very straight forward therefore, the experiment programme and the outcome also follows the same pattern. Therefore, i suggest you to improve the outcome in terms of findings + new materials usage. For instant use of this material or its application could be an interesting topic for the reader too.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors partially answered the questsion. The reviewer asked to complete all questions in followings:

2) Then add both weight and percentange. For example 9kg/m3(xx%VforWf)

4) The authors did not include them. Please include all of them

5) The answer is not enough. Which order you put mix. Did you saturate the aggregate and etc. More details are required

6) No answer given in line 88-89. It is written as "both parent concretes, to produce PPRAC with 3 and 9 kg/m3 of virgin (i.e., new) PP fibers, 88 according to the scheme in Figure 1."
