Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

unfortunately, there are various published papers on nonlinear vibration of CNTs including coupling using various methods. although the presentation is good, but i cannot find enough novelty in the manuscript.

1-      The text is not sufficiently clear, results are presented untidy, and the use of English should be improved.

For example:

-          In the title “ thermal-electro-mechanical coupling” should be “ Thermo-electro-mechanical coupling”

-          In the caption of Figure 2 “ ….is a function of …..” should be changed to “…as a function of …”

2-      Re-write the abstract to be concise and informative and include the key numerical results obtained

3-      Add  a paragraph in the introduction to show the author's motivation and the novelty of this work

4-      Figures 3- Figure 18: Titles of the X-axis and Y-axis of all figures should be modified to be clear. Also, units should be added to all x-axes and Y-axes. Also, add the units of the legends in the Figures, for example, units of T = 150?? And units of U=0.01 ?????

5- The font of parameters and numbers and parameters are different from the text

6-      Provide the obtained key results in the conclusion.

7-      Please correlate the introduced solution to the wide range of applications of CNTs

Reviewer 4 Report

In this paper, the nonlinear vibrations of a (10,10) SWCNT are studied by a thermal- electro-mechanical coupling nanobeam theory for the primary resonance and subharmonic resonance.

1.       Is this possible that the coefficient of electrical expansion (CEE) is always bigger than the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). Why?

2.       The Galerkin method is used to discretize the Partial differential equation and get two nonlinear ordinary differential equations that describe the first- and second-order mode vibrations. What are the other methods used earlier so that the comparison between obtained results can be done?

3.     It is necessary that the theoretical results must be checked by experiments so that validity of the model theory can be checked.
