Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

-          -The abstract does not include sufficient quantitative data. Please revise it.

-          -The Abstract should contain answers to the following questions: What problem was studied and why is it important? What methods were used? What are the important results? What conclusions can be drawn from the results? What is the novelty of the work and where does it go beyond previous efforts in the literature? Please include specific and quantitative results in your Abstract, while ensuring that it is suitable for a broad audience.

-         - In literature review, the authors should add more recent publications discussed the current published technologies to improve the current power plants systems such as integration of thermal energy storage with solar/nuclear power plants to overcome the limitations of renewable/alternative power plants. Also, the authors should discuss in detail the outcomes of recent publications. An updated and complete literature review should be conducted and should appear as part of the Introduction. Add below refs, which is relevant to recent integrated advanced power plants systems:

-The originality of the paper needs to be stated clearly. It is of importance to have sufficient results to justify the novelty of a high-quality journal paper. The Introduction should make a compelling case for why the study is useful along with a clear statement of its novelty or originality by providing relevant information and providing answers to basic questions such as: What is already known in the open literature? What is missing (i.e., research gaps)? What needs to be done, why and how? Clear statements of the novelty of the work should also appear briefly in the Abstract and Conclusions sections.

-An updated and complete literature review should be conducted and should appear as part of the Introduction. The results and findings should be compared to and discussed in the context of earlier work in the literature.

-  Figure 9 not clear to follow. Please change the symbols to improve the figure.

- Conclusion section sound very general. Please support by quantitative data.

Reviewer 2 Report

This work introduces a practical solution to transmit data in a hybrid pattern for solar systems. With abundant experiments, the efficacy of the design is validated properly.

Reviewer 3 Report

This work creates a hybrid data transmission network for the monitoring system of the working parameters of the solar power plant. This sounds an interesting study. I would like to recommend the appropriate revision before publication on Applied Sciences.

1. The calculation example is not suitable. In order to test the impact of ambient temperature, we should not select only one day, but two days with similar lighting conditions but large temperature difference as the comparison source of the test data indicators.

2. The analysis of mixed data network combined with test data is not deep enough. It only stays in the physical and meteorological interpretation of the test data and lacks the corresponding comparative analysis to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the hybrid data network. The author should strengthen the analysis.

3. The pictures in the article are not beautiful enough (Figure 1), but also not clear enough (Figure 5). The author should improve them.

4. The format of references is not uniform, and the author should check it carefully.

5. The last page (page 15th) is redundant.

6. In addition to solar energy, the electrochemical energy storage equipment represented by MXene is also the focus of current development. The author should introduce related typical work, such as Nat Rev Chem 2022, 6, 389–404; Matter 2022, 5, 1042–1055; Adv. Mater., 2021, 33, 2005449.
