The article by Park et al., entitled as “Plastome Evolution of Asyneuma japonicum: Insights into Structural Variation, Genomic Divergence and Phylogenetic Tree” present a complete plastome structural variations and Evolutionary relationships of A. japonicum within Campanulaceae family members.

Line 13 Abstract: The sentence need revision. The sentence looks like providing information from somewhere else………….. present your result.

Add Methodology to the abstract briefly.

Merge the first paragraph of the introduction section with the last paragraph.

Legends of Figure 6 should be revised. Add the information of family and number of species in each clade.

Check the whole article for English grammar correction.

The study contributes significantly to the understanding of structural variations, genomic divergence, and phylogenetic relationships within the Campanulaceae family. I would recommend it for publication after correction.

Introduction section

Please rewrite the following sentence “Plant chloroplasts are crucial organelles that for survival activities [5]”. Please rewrite the following sentence "Plastome (chloroplast genome) can adapt to specific survival conditions [7], and its sequences are effective to observe the changing events in conserved genes of coding regions [8]." Please rewrite the following sentence “Although the many plastome sequences have been revealed in various plant species, any Asyneuma species have not been reported, and their molecular positions are unclear because previous studies have focused on taxonomic characteristics.”

Please give little bit more importance of the study why you want to do

 

In Results and discussion section:

I really like the work and significance of this, but discussion was underwhelming, reads like facts just thrown in together - not sure how to smooth it rewrite it but editing is needed for this section

I would suggest starting with one summary paragraph of the findings - take home message, what does it all mean, and then going into individual objectives and their findings, compared to other studies.
