The paper entitled ‘Study on deformation and fault mechanisms of bedding locked rock slope’ focuses on the study of a typical bedding locked rock slope in China.
The main drawback of the paper is the legibility. It is quite complicated to understand and follow the manuscript. This is mainly due to the poor quality of the English level and the several grammatical and typographical errors. There are some long sentences, which make it even more complicated to follow. Therefore, it is suggested to be reviewed by an English native speaker.
The second main drawback of the paper is the abstract. It is not very clear what is the goal or the method followed. There is a lot of information that do not help the reader to understand it. It is suggested to be revised and re-written following this structure: introduction to the problem or state of the art, solution or objectives, method, results and some main conclusions.
The third main drawback of the paper is the length. Figures could be added in a single row.
Most of the plots are blurry. It is suggested to redo them.
The numerical model is not clear. How was it developed? And the analyses? Boundary conditions? There is no proper description.
