Determining Countermeasures against Fault Currents Using a Decomposition Method Based on Fuzzy Fault Level Constrained Optimal Power Flow
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The paper is interesting and the results are interesting. I would suggest that authors review papers discussing fault location and how to locate faults in power grid more carefully.

1. The contribution of the presented approach needs to be further elaborated and the general difference to a conventional method has to be highlighted.
2. The inductance and capacitance of the transmission lines have significant influence on the optimal operating point of the system and thus need to be clarified.
3. How does the method handle potential multiplicity of solutions in the nonlinear optimization? Several solutions could satisfy the constraints and might miss the optimal solution.

This manuscript described a fuzzy fault level constrained OPF based decomposition method to determine adequate countermeasures against fault current. It is well-written, however, the novelty of this manuscript needs to be further explained. Although results from the example provided in this paper show the effectiveness of the proposed method, providing the comparison with other OPF based method would make the contribution of this paper more convincing.Author Response
