Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This case-control study is a good work about cerebral arterial fenestration is rare vascular malformation. ACA is the most common localization of fenestrations, followed by BA and AComA. Fenestrations of cerebral arteries insignificantly increase the risk of cerebral aneurysm formation. The author presented good images. In this study, fenestrations were found 0.75%, and that is much less than reported in other studies. The detection of fenestration increased the risk of developing an aneurysm, but due to the limited number of cases, these results are not statistically significant. This case-control study already presented a good quality.

Reviewer 2 Report

I think that this review is interesting and gives a very comprehensive overview of what is already known about arterial fenestrations and cerebral aneurysms, including new data. I have some minor comments:

-Line 97: 'were' instead of 'was'

-Figure 2: please provide the original figure
