Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper addresses the relevance and effectiveness of early spinal instrumentation for pyogenic spondylodiscitis. This review mentions a good number of subjects of the said condition with and without recurrence. Results are supported by proper statistical analysis.

The paper is relevant and interesting and will be useful in practice in the management of spondylodiscitis. It adds to the subject area since the newer concept of early surgical stabilisation has a major role in the treatment. I did not find any major flaws in the design and text. The conclusions are also consistent with statistical evidence.
