The Authors presented a manuscript on an interesting topic concerning the influencing factors of rural public services and population migration in China. The article is well prepared, based on various literature reviews and own research. Nevertheless, in some respects the article could be improved:
I suggest making an effort to shorten the paper.
The introduction is clear, and the research question is well described. However, please consider summarizing the literature review in a table to facilitate reading.
I would give more details on motivation about the sources and variables considered (par. 2.3).
The method applied is a bit cryptic, please try to make the text clearer.
Discussion and Conclusion: The Discussion should be improved. I suggest moving part of the Conclusions to Discussion (from line 685 to 723). This could improve both sections. The Conclusions should also provide some recommendation and considerations on the role of policies to support the development of territories (regions), both from the economic, social and environmental point of view. What has been done so far on rural public services and what are the strategies for the future? And how these might impact on the system and on integration.
The literature review should be wider and could be summarized in a table.
Figure 2: I suggest giving a more detailed description of the chart, of the flows and of the links to let the reader understanding the logic behind the integration process that you develop with your model

About the submission with the title "Has Rural Public Services Weakened Population Migration in the Sichuan-Chongqing Region? Spatiotemporal Association Patterns and their Influencing Factors" I have the following comments:
- I suggest to improve the presentation of the abstract with clear motivations, gaps that justify the research, objectives, methodologies, novelties and main insights.
- The literature review could and should be improved, namely to support the decisions and options made.
- I found difficulties to understand the relevance of the figure 2. Table 1 needs scientific support for the information presented. The methodology proposed in the subsection 2.4 seems to me not adjusted for an "Spatiotemporal" analysis. We would expect something related with spatial autocorrelation and other similar approaches.
- The results for the several regressions carried out must be presented, as well as the respective tests for the presence of multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, endogeneity, autocorrelation (temporal and spatial), normality, ......
- The methodology considered must be benchmarked with other and highlighted the added value of the approaches considered relatively to others avialable in the literature.

My main concern about this research is about the results of the regressions, about how the methodologies were selected, which tests were carried out.... About this, the paper presents not enough information.
