Antimicrobial Treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Severe Sepsis
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a microorganism with special relevance due to its ability to cause serious infections in patients who are often vulnerable. Intrinsic resistance to certain antimicrobials, together with their great versatility to produce resistance by various mechanisms, determines high mortality in patients with sepsis and other serious infectious processes.
The authors have carried out an extensive and in-depth review of antimicrobials with anti-pseudomonal activity, based on the various studies carried out and which support their results. They discuss important points such as the need to know the local sensitivity profile or in what circumstances combined treatment could be considered. The reading of the article is easy and dynamic with all the relevant information as well as the situation of other options that are different or complementary to antimicrobial treatment.
For the reasons stated above, in my opinion, the article meets the conditions to be published in the current format.
Author Response
We thank the reviewer for their very valuable positive feedback. We are pleased that they found the manuscript dynamic and easy to go through while also being comprehensive and up to date. Indeed, Pseudomonas aeruginosa can be a very challenging organism to treat, especially in the setting of severe infections like sepsis. Such articles are essential for clinicians to be updated on the recent evidence regarding the antimicrobial management of these infections. Hence, we aimed to provide a reader-friendly review of the optimal management of these infections. We look forward to seeing this manuscript published.

Thank you for giving me a chance to review this manuscript. Few Comments to be considered.
- The whole manuscript is mainly about the treatment rather than any other management strategy. II suggest to modify the title accordingly
- Make special section about the most common effective drugs used to mange Pseudomonas A. and the resistant ones
Good luck
