Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Abstract

“We highlight the urgent need for further research to elucidate therapeutic implications and underscore the imperative of robust regulatory frameworks to safeguard public health.” this sentence or another aim sentence may be combined with the present abstract

Introduction

The introduction could benefit from more specific references to the cited studies. For instance, instead of referencing studies in a broad range (e.g., [7-13]), it would be more informative to provide specific details about the findings of each study related to the discussed topic.

The first paragraph under the title 'Dermal fillers' and the first two paragraphs under the title 'Skin Boosters' appear to have been directly copied and pasted from another source. These sections require editing to ensure originality and appropriate citation

Line 81-83 can be written as “Fibroblast cells can produce new collagen throughout a person's lifespan through mechanical stimulation mediated via hyaluronan. In contrast, elastin fibers are present from birth, and they cannot be easily replenished if damaged.”

Line 266-268 can be written as “While this standard is currently in force, it is set to be replaced by an updated standard of the same name; however, the updated standard is currently under development."

Line 311-315 can be written as “The hypothesis regarding the risks of hyaluronic acid fillers specifically blocking lymphatic channels and causing cancer is still preliminary. However, it has alerted the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) to plan further research and engage in discussions with government officials to tighten regulations in the UK concerning the required qualifications of aesthetic practitioners and the products that can be used.”

Comments on the Quality of English Language

There was an error in the spelling of some words. I suggest they be reconsidered.

This has now been added to the abstract.

Thank you. While carrying out this change, we realised a repetition of reference 8.

The first paragraph under the title 'Dermal fillers' and the first two paragraphs under the title 'Skin Boosters' appear to have been directly copied and pasted from another source. These sections require editing to ensure originality and appropriate citation

Thank you, this has now been addressed and proper citation has been given.

Line 81-83 can be written as “Fibroblast cells can produce new collagen throughout a person's lifespan through mechanical stimulation mediated via hyaluronan. In contrast, elastin fibers are present from birth, and they cannot be easily replenished if damaged.”

Done. We replaced our sentence with the above.

Line 266-268 can be written as “While this standard is currently in force, it is set to be replaced by an updated standard of the same name; however, the updated standard is currently under development."

We have now added the above clarification.

We have replaced our sentence with the above.

“antiageing” miswritten word

“elasticy” miswritten Word

“hyluronic” miswritten Word

We have gone through the paper to correct all these mis-spellings.

Thank you for your comment, we would like to clarify that our aim was to write an expert evaluation/discussion of current knowledge where we install our own interpretations, suggestions and predictions in this field. We had no intention to do a systematic review. Please see also the format of the other review paper published in this Special Issue.

We are not sure which section the reviewer refers to, however we found the suggested reference and we have now integrated it in the revised paper (Reference 69).
