The references are current and from the article topic. The article compares the existing GNSS signal generators with the proposed signal generator. The proposed signal generator is improvement of one from the tested generators. The same parts in the different channels are reduced and used just once for the all channels. I have the main question on this approach: How is it with the interference, when more channels are using the same circuit? For this you must describe, how this works (Legendre LUT) and show, that it can be used by this way. The second main thing is, that I don't see the experiment, just graph and table with the numbers, where are the photos from the experiments, which can show us, that you did it and not just told results will be this? Description of the experiment, the example of the generated signal and comparison with the real or from the previous generator are missing. I want to see, that the signals are generated right.
Small things: Introduce the chapter 2. Line 50: L5 is missing (see your table 1). Lines 230-231: The sentence is split to 2 pages by the table, but there is enough space for the using the whole sentence.

I am giving you the major revision, but the practical part must be added, now the article looks like just the comment to the state of art. Wish you a good luck in the article improvement.

The article is a very pertinent and the Authors have developed an original and interesting topic, full of ideas. Despite this, some integration and clarification are needed: for these reasons I have proposed a "major revision".

Some comments:

  • Section 1 “Introduction”: please consider a slightly broader description.
  • Section 4 “Proposed multi-frequency universal code generator” is not clear: please explain better
  • Section 6 “Conclusions”: this section is also too concise and schematic: please better focus the conclusions by highlighting the innovative part.

Minor comments:

  1. Figure 1 is too little and not clear: please improve dimension and resolution
  2. Figure 2 is too little and not clear: please improve dimension and resolution
  3. Figure 3 is too little and not clear: please improve dimension and resolution

Thank you for your constructive comments. The main idea of the proposed multi-frequency universal code generator is to apply time-multiplexing technique to the previous universal code generator in order to save the common hardware resources. In Section 4, the basic operation and scheduling of time multiplexing is newly described to clarify the advantage of the proposed method.

 

Section 6 “Conclusions”: this section is also too concise and schematic: please better focus the conclusions by highlighting the innovative part.

In Section 6 of the revised manuscript, we emphasized the advantage of the proposed universal code generator by comparing the previous universal code generators.

now it looks much better, but please introduce the chapture 2 (a few sentences what the reader can find in this chapter) and please implement the respond for the realized test inside the article, it will looks better (The results validation is very important part).
