Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In this paper (very short - just over 5 pages without references), the authors present a brief overview aims to summarize the available literature data on VRT (virtual reality technology) application in neurorehab settings, discuss the pros and cons of VR, and introduce practical issues for research.

The paper is well-organized but this review (mainly Section 2. Literature data) is very brief. It should be much more expanded showing the main findings and drawbacks of all references. This is the only way to understand the importance of the research carried out.

On the other hand, the authors should reduce self-citations (there are a lot).

In general, more effort is required.

We thank the reviewer for the appreciation to our ms and the useful suggestions to improve its quality. As suggested, we better detailed the section 2 by adding the main findings and drawbacks of the reviewed works. Furthermore, we significantly pruned self-citation.

Kindest regards,
The authors

What do we know about the use of virtual reality in the rehabilitation field? A brief overview

The authors present an overview of the virtual reality technology usage in the rehabilitation field.  105 references are incorporated in the study. The paper is a bit short, however.

For better understanding of the field and the readability it would be useful to include a content oriented table summary of the references and works studied (e.g. type of paper, main contributions/impact for the VRT rehabilitation field, …). It would also be beneficial if a summary of reference sources and keywords used were presented. The authors should include a brief description how the papers were selected for the study, on what criteria. and methodology.

Lastly, we added the section research strategy to describe how the papers were selected for the study, on what criteria, and methodology.
