Round  1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is an inspiring work separating two types of gluons, using the Abelian decomposition.

The main goal is to propose two types of gluonic jets. Moreover the author also spends most of the manuscript reviewing other results of the Abelian decomposition of QCD, including results of his own work. There asre two points that may be improved in the manuscript.

1- In what concerns the review, the author should also relate his approach to the existing works either in the maximum Abelian gauge or in the center gauge, in particular in lattice QCD.

2- In what concerns the prediction of two types of jets, the neuron and chromon ones, the author falls short to derive a quantitative result separating the two different jets. While the author claims the presently observed jets are of the chromon type, his prediction is lacking any relation the experimental collaborations may use to observe jets of the neuron type.

I would urge the author to improve these two points.

Nevertheless the manuscript deserves to be published.

The author should also search more thoroughly for typos, for instance

QCD should be QED in line 278

neuon, should be neuron in line 373.

Author Response

Author's response to Referee A

Thanks for the kind review, I have tried my best to accommodate

your advice. But please understand that because of the length limit I can not go into the details too much. Hoe the revised manuscript is acceptable to you. Thanks again.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear author,

Congratulations for writing this nice article, which includes a discussion on colour reflection symmetry, generalising the quark model to a model constituted by quarks and chromons. Attached you can find some comments and suggestions for your consideration divided in general and detailed.

Author's Response to Referee B,

Thanks for the kind review. In the revised manuscript I have

accommodated your advice. Hope the revised manuscript is

acceptable to you. Thanks again.

Round  2

Reviewer 1 Report

The new version of the manuscript is clearer and more precise, the English is improved.

I think the manuscript should be accepted, although the author did not include new references on center gauge computations in lattice QCD.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear authors,

thanks for improving the draft which looks ready for publication.

Kind regards
