Prospects of Searching for Type Ia Supernovae with 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope

In this paper, the authors assess the detecability of SNe Ia with mock observations of the 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) is an upcoming survey facility deployed in western China. Their results show that WFST could discover about 45 bright SNe Ia, 99 early-phase SNe Ia, or 10000 well-observed SNe Ia with the hypothesized Wide, Deep, or Medium mode, respectively, suggesting WFST will be an influential facility in time-domain astronomy. While I consider this work to be a contribution of some interest to a fairly broad community, I would ask the authors to consider my main points and concerns in revising their draft.
1.In the past years, great observational efforts by virtue of the transient surveys, have been dedicated to exploring the physical nature of SNe Ia and its cosmological applications.On the one hand, the authors are strongly encouraged to make thorough review, and comment on the cosmological applications of updated SNe Ia samples, model-independent tests of cosmic distance duality relation [arXiv:2206.04946]; on the other hand, it is also more important to elaborate how WFST is expected to contribute to such cosmological application with the future observations.
2.Based on 10000 well-observed SNe Ia from WFST, one could also expected the detection of strongly lensed SNe Ia, i.e., galactic-scale strong gravitational lensing systems with SNe Ia acting as background sources[Goldstein,et al.2019,ApJS,243,6]. These events opens an interesting possibility to test the validity of General Relativity, direct test of the FLRW metric [Qi,2019,PRD,100:023530]. It is rewarding to elaborate how WFST is expected to observe trongly lensed SNe Ia and contribute to the above cosmological application with the future observations.
If possible, I am still looking forward to see the authors' reply to the above comments.

Dear authors,
I have the following minor comments/suggestions to refine
the text of your manuscript:
- Caption of Fig. 3: The symbols in keys would need a clarification
(11fe, ..., 21aefx). Are these the names of supernovae?
- page 9, line 281-2:
This part would deserve a clarification. For example, the
calibration of S-correction and K-correction may not be clear
to readers who are not deeply involved in this issue.
- Sect. 4, line 298-301:
Could you clarify the second point? Why the position of SNe Ia,
especially near the center of host galaxies, has a significant
impact on the data processing and the selection of transients?
Is this due to expected higher reddening close to the host galaxy
center?
