Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

- The annotation must follow a certain structure:

   - Background

   - Purpose

   - Methods

   - Results

   - Conclusions.

- But the annotation to the paper contains only methods and results. And the article itself describes only the methods and results.

- Authors should be more explicit about the backgrounds and purposes of the paper.

Author Response

We have added several parts in the main text (all highlighted in red in the new version) to accomplish the referee's requirements (within the scope of a theoretically inclined manuscript).

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is maturely written and it contains an interesting result where nontrivial topology correction can mimic magnetic monopoles. Hence, recommended to accept as it is.

Author Response

We thank the referee's report.

Reviewer 3 Report

I have read the whole of the submitted paper. In this paper, the authors We investigated two physical systems within a spacetime region affected by nontrivial 1 topology and the setup for the authors analysis is a Minkowski metric perturbed by elements reflecting the 2 topological non-triviality.

If I had to summarize my opinion about the article; It is a well prepared and written paper and recommended for publication in UNIVERSE.

Author Response

We thank the referee's report.
