Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

What is the main question addressed by the research?

An aeroelastic model of active rotor with TEFs was established. Aer- 68 odynamic loads generated by the TEF were calculated using the Theodorsen model.

 Is it relevant anbd interesting?

-yes

 How original is the topic?

There are many studies on the subject in the literature. However, the TEFs approach considered brought a different perspective.

What does it add to the subject area compared with other published material?

It showed positive effects on the wing flapping angle.

Is the paper well written?

mid-level

Is the text clear and easy to read?

yes

Are the conclusions consistent with the evidence and arguments presented?

The conclusions are not consistent, more numerical arguments should be given.

Do they address the main question posed?

Major issues

In this study, an aeroelastic model of active rotor with TEFs was established. Aerodynamic loads generated by the TEF were calculated using the Theodorsen model. Accordingly, it should be reviewed taking into account the following items.

·         More detailed information should be given in the introduction.

·        Similar studies should be presented to the reader. Literature review should be done realistically.

·        The correctness of the equations presented must be proven. Equations 5, 6, 7 and 8 seem to be inconsistent.

·        How CAMRAD II calculations were made should be given clearly.

·        Figure 4 is complex.

·        The results should definitely be reproduced and compared with similar studies.

·        This article should clearly state what kind of gap it will fill in the literature.

·        All equations in the modeling part must be proven.
