Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The study (Manuscript ID mathematics-1354273) touches upon the important task of forecasting electricity demand. The authors compared different approaches to such forecasting. The authors have proven that the forecasting accuracy can be improved by applying a new multivariate model called VARX. This contribution of the authors is significant.
The disadvantage of the study, in my opinion, can be attributed to the fact that the study used data from one object - the university. The university is not a significant consumer of energy in the total mass. It seems to me that the study would be of much greater importance if the authors used data for such an object as a city or region.
But again, in general, the study is interesting and, in my opinion, deserves to be published.

Author Response

Thank you for your comment. We agree that the energy consumption from a small building does not affect a significant part in total. However, when it comes to the micro-grid view, it would be worth managing in a small area.

Author Response

  1. The direct comparison between the experimental data and the predictions from different models or plotting the comparison will be beneficial.
->I’ve additionally presented them in figure 7.
  2. Typo: this might be caused by software issues, the unit for the area in line 241 should be m2 instead of m2.->I’ve checked and changed in line 240. Thank you for your comments.

Reviewer 3 Report

In future publications, authors should devote more time to editing the article according to the requirements of the journal. This will then avoid quite a number of insights into editing.

The reviewed article is a valuable publication. It can serve readers as a set of knowledge that can be used as a basis for further innovative and implementation studies.
