In this manuscript, a series of solid acid catalysts (hydrophobic catalysts Fe3O4@SiO2-Me&PrSO3H, Fe3O4@SiO2-Oc&PrSO3H and hydrophilic catalyst Fe3O4@SiO2-PrSO3H) were synthetized and tested for acetic acid esterification with ethanol.

However, there are some issues that need to be resolved.

1. At the Figure 7, the catalyst and the reaction conditions must be added to the legend (Temperature, stirring speed, reaction time).

2. Idem Figure 8.

3. There is no comparison of the results with literature data. The authors are asked to make this comparison.
