- The inclusion criteria were as follows:
- Apnoea-Hypopnoea-Index (AHI) > 5;
- Lateral cephalograms taken in natural head posture [18] at treatment start;
- Height and weight measurements undertaken for measurement of body mass index (BMI).
- The exclusion criteria were as follows:
- AHI < 5, or lacking information about AHI;
- Missing lateral cephalograms;
- Missing measurements of height and weight.

- Previous orthodontic treatment;
- Known craniofacial syndromes and/or other general diseases;
