Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a large report on 45 probable and proven cases of CAPA from the Russian Federation. I would like to congratulate the authors for this very important addition to the literature.

I have only one minor comment:

- Recently the two largest multicenter studies to date have reported large numbers of CAPA patients and ICU controls from mostly Europe. See Clin Microbiol Infect. 2021 Aug 26:S1198-743X(21)00474-2. doi: 10.1016/j.cmi.2021.08.014. Online ahead of print.PMID: 34454093 and Emerg Infect Dis. 2021 Nov;27(11):2892-2898. doi: 10.3201/eid2711.211174. Epub 2021 Sep 14.PMID: 34519638. Please discuss those studies particularly where you discuss risk factors but also in other relevant sections.
