Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In the paper coauthored by Kim and coll., the efficacy of the parabiotic Bifidobacterium breve IDCC 4401 for lowering cholesterol levels was assessed. The manuscript is neatly writing, and these findings indicated that BBR 4401 may be a safe and functional food for adults with moderate hypercholesterolemia.. The paper can be accepted in the present form.

Reviewer 2 Report

In the present study, the authors evaluated and showed the LDL-C lowering activity of B. breve IDCC 4401 by RTC, indicating that the strain may be useful as a functional food in preventive medicine.  The study seems to be well designed and conducted, the submitted manuscript almost satisfies the criteria for publication.

There are still some typographical errors and omissions.
