Comments and Suggestions for Authors

A very interesting experiment on the influence of Trichoderma grown on corn meal medium, applied twice in foliar application, on very different biochemical and physiological parameters in the leaves and fruits of the tested plant species. The abstract must be enriched with specific results or percentages of changes compared to the control. There are many ambiguities in the description of the methodology that need to be clarified. In the discussion when comparing your own results with those of previous authors or those of other authors, you should provide the obtained values or at least whether the results were significant in relation to the control. Otherwise, it forces the reader to search for the results on their own.

Author Response

A very interesting experiment on the influence of Trichoderma grown on corn meal medium, applied twice in foliar application, on very different biochemical and physiological parameters in the leaves and fruits of the tested plant species.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review this manuscript and for the appreciation. Please find the detailed responses below and the corresponding revisions/corrections highlighted/in track changes in the re-submitted files.

Comments 1:  The abstract must be enriched with specific results or percentages of changes compared to the control.

Response 1: Thank you for your comments. The changes (as percentage) compared to control were included in the abstract – L35-L37.

Comment 2. There are many ambiguities in the description of the methodology that need to be clarified.

Response 2. Thank you for comments. The required details were presented in L111-L112, L130, L192-L193, L219-L220, L220-L224, L275-L277.

Comment 3. In the discussion when comparing your own results with those of previous authors or those of other authors, you should provide the obtained values or at least whether the results were significant in relation to the control. Otherwise, it forces the reader to search for the results on their own.

Response 3. Thank you for your comments. The requested details were  presented in L418-L424, L444-L446, L452-L453, L473-L474, L511-L515.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript titled "Influence of Foliar Treatment with Suspensions Rich in Trichoderma Chlamydospores on Momordica charantia Physiology,  Yield and Quality" contains interesting research results for science and agricultural practice. The research is multi-faceted and concerns both plant physiology, quality and yield. The research topic is current and requires further research.
However, the text of the manuscript requires improvement. I have included detailed comments in the original PDF text.

General notes are:

check the units used according to the requirements of the journal
in the Abstract, write one sentence about yield
Complete the Material and Methods section:
what year the experiment was conducted
greenhouse owner
If you have, please provide more details of the soil analysis
what fertilization and plant protection were used
briefly describe why this variety was included in the experiment
correct subsection number 2.11
line 282 correct it
provide the results of satistic calculations in table 1
correct the calculations in table 2
describe the results from table 2 in more detail
give the differences in the results between figure (5 b) and figure (6 b)
correct figure 7 and describe your result in detail

Add to Conclusion. What was better after foliar fertilization compared to the control (physiology, yield and crop quality?)

correct the list of literature in accordance with the requirements of the journal

I hope that my comments will allow the authors to improve the text of the manuscript. thank you for your cooperation

General notes are:
Coment 1. check the units used according to the requirements of the journal.

Response 1.  We used the SI unit, except for the yield, where we used kg/ha, not kg/m2. The hectare is a non-SI unit, accepted for use with the SI unit, especially in land measurement and cultivated plant yield.

Comment 1. in the Abstract, write one sentence about yield.

Response 1.  Thank you for your comment. We included one sentence about yield in the Abstract – L36-L37.

Commment 2. Complete the Material and Methods section: what year the experiment was conducted
Response 2. Thank your for your comment. We added the year of the experiment – L130

Comment 3. greenhouse owner

Response 3. We mentioned the greenhouse owner, the partener from the project RO-NO-2019-540 – L118

Comment 4. If you have, please provide more details of the soil analysis

Response 4. We provide more idetails on the soil analysis – L120-L122

Comment 5. What fertilization and plant protection were used

Response 5. We include details on fertilization – L127-L128.  The experimental condition did not required plant protection treatment.

Comment  6. Briefly describe why this variety was included in the experiment

Response 6. We  presented the reason for using a variety developed in the same geographic area – L131.

Comment 7. Correct subsection number 2.11

Response 7. Thank you for spotting us this mistake. We corrected.

Coment 8. line 282 correct it

Response 8. Thank you for spotting us this mistake. We corrected.

Comment 9. Provide the results of satistic calculations in table 1

Result 9. Thank you, We include the statistical calculation

Comment 10. Correct the calculations in table 2

Response 10. Thank you for spotting us this mistake. We corrected.

Comment 11. Describe the results from table 2 in more detail

Response 11. We described the results from Table 2 in more details.

Comment 12. Give the differences in the results between figure (5 b) and figure (6 b)

Response12. We presented this difference – L478-L79

Comment 13. Correct figure 7 and describe your result in detail –

Response 12. We corrected figure 7 and we described our results - L434-L437

Comment 14. Add to Conclusion. What was better after foliar fertilization compared to the control (physiology, yield and crop quality?)

Response 15. The highest impact of the treatment was on the yield and crop quality (antioxidant compounds and antioxidant activity).

Comment 15. Correct the list of literature in accordance with the requirements of the journal

Response 15. We corrected the mistakes generated by the reference software.

Comment 16. I hope that my comments will allow the authors to improve the text of the manuscript. thank you for your cooperation
