Limitations
- Although the dynamic-type loading used in this study facilitated the function of the neuromuscular system, no tests on neuromuscular activation were performed in our investigation. However, it was hypothesized that explosive strength improvements were caused by longer TUT of the lower limb muscles; we did not assess it in this study.
- The eccentric overload amount was not adjusted on an individual-player basis.
- Focusing the intervention on young soccer players, it is better not to generalize the results to a higher level of expertise athletes.
