Buckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) Thin Plates with Various Circular Cutout Arrangements
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This paper presents a Buckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) Thin Plates with Various Circular Cutout Arrangements, before considering it for publication the following remarks should be revised carefully:
1- The abstract should be improved including the novelties of the presented work.
2- English typos and grammatical errors must be revised.
3- The introduction should be improved including recent relevant works such as: An improved Artificial Neural Network using Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm for damage assessment in FGM composite plates; A three-dimensional solution for free vibration and buckling of annular plate, conical, cylinder and cylindrical shell of FG porous-cellular materials using IGA, A geometrically nonlinear size-dependent hypothesis for porous functionally graded micro-plate.
4- Plz double-check all the formulations and some parameters still not yet defined.
5- More details are missed in the FEM part, DOF, DOF type, Mesh size, and Mesh type.
6- The comparison with the literature review should be considered in all results to show the accuracy of the presented technique.
7- The conclusion can be improved based on the advantage of disadvantage of presented technique.

The paper in this form can not be publish due to the several facts:
1. The relations between displacements/strains/stresses described in the paper are well known - it is nothing original, especially when we take into account point 2 (below)
2. Authors should add the equations which described the problem
3. The FEM model is not properly described, mesh, type of element errors is not available in the reviewed material
4. The convergance analysis of FEM model should be made
5. The literature should be improved
6. I have not find any information about comparison results obtained by Authors with experiment or results of other Authors
Without point 4 and 6 the conclusions are unfounded
I propose to reject the paper in the present form due to the above mentioned facts.

1. It is necessary to indicate the literature sources from where the formulas used (1)-(17) were taken.
2. It is necessary to check that the text describes all the parameters used in formulas (1)-(17).
3. It is recommended to provide a description of the calculation methodology using ABAQUS.
4. Add legends with numeric values for figures 5-10.
5. It is recommended to compare the results with a plate without holes.
6. It is recommended to discuss how the results obtained can be applied in the engineering practice of structural design. How are you planning to continue this work? For example, is it planned to test the real plates in order to validate the calculation methodology?
