Geospatial Tools for Determining Visitor Carrying Capacity in Tourist Streets and Public Spaces of Historic Centres
Round 1

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe greatest and undeniable strength of the article is the methodology employed, which uses modern insights and interpretive tools to show the problem of visitors' activity.
The authors have used the tools in an unquestionably professional manner, demonstrating the possibilities in the development of contemporary urban research. The core and relevant part of the work is unchallenged, shown clearly and in accordance with the principles of scientific research.
My only concerns are the introductory sections to the article, in particular the rationale for the topic and the review of the world literature on the subject. The authors presented them in a very small way, briefly and almost only in buzzwords. It would have been worthwhile to demonstrate the need for this type of research, especially in the context of overtourism areas.
It is also worth posing explicit research questions that will at least be answered in the conclusions.
And it is the summary that, in my opinion, is too compact and does not refer to further research in this area. I think it would be possible to expand these parts a little.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThis is a very interesting article on a topic that is currently beginning to be studied and investigated through various methodologies.
As this is a case study, the authors should reflect this in the article's title, especially since they do not present any comparative study with other places in the city of Valencia or other regions of Spain or the world.
The structure of the article is well-defined. It is written in an understandable, didactic way, except when referring to more technical aspects.
However, the literature review could be more thorough. It would also be interesting to mention analogous cases for possible comparisons and practical and useful application in historical and heritage sites that usually have excess visitors in Spain or elsewhere.
Congratulations to the authors.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe research design and main objectives of this research need to be more explicit and related to the studied area. In fact, the authors need to answer: why this research in Miguelete Street in Valencia? What is the real purpose of this study?
The local vulnerabilities should also be described in order to justify the carrying capacity study..
A deep local description is needed in order to understand the importance of this research in this historical place and describe the relation with local heritage fragilities.
It is also necessary to adjust the title that should suggest that this study took place in Valencia.
As conclusion should be refered other similar studies with impact, in particular in paragraph - lines 315-320.
