". By the end of May 2022, over two years in to the pandemic, there had been over 22 million positive Reverse ......", the data needs to be updated since we are in 2023.

Response: Thank you for highlighting this. We have updated this with the number of PCR tests carried out, the number of positive cases and the number of deaths, by end of March 2023.

  • M&M

Authors should add clear inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Response: Thank you for highlighting this. We have clarified the criteria used to enter the patients on to the sepsis registry by numbering the criteria. We have added the statement that those with a negative tests were excluded.

  • Results

Is there an effect that "none of the data analyzed was normally distributed" on the results obtained regarding the performance of new scores?

Response: Thank you for highlighting this. We have added a third limitation as follows- ‘Third, the data studied were not normally distributed. We do not know what effect this may have had on the performance of the scores’.

The topic of this paper is very interesting. Although the study was conducted in a cohort observational study at a single center. I think the paper should be accepted in COVID Journal.

Response: Thank you for your kind comments. It is much appreciated.
