Young Investigator Award

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Actuators 2022 Young Investigator Award is Prof. Yi Zhang.

Prof. Yi Zhang is a full Professor at the School of Electronic Science and Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu, China. Prof. Yi Zhang’s research interests are in Micro/Nano Biosensing, Magnetic Digital Microfluidics, Micro/Nano and Molecular Sensing, Micro/Nano 3D Printing, Additive Manufacturing, 3D Bioprinting, 3D Electronics Printing, Micro/Nano robots, Micro/Nano Materials. Prof. Yi Zhang received his PhD in 2013 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising over 70 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 19 international patents. Prof. Yi Zhang’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 1000 and his Hirsch index is 15. He is clearly a rising star in the field of magnetic digital microfluidics (MDM) for droplet actuation. Please join us in congratulating Prof. Yi Zhang for his outstanding achievements.

As the awardee, Prof. Yi Zhang will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 31 December 2023 in Actuators after peer-review, and an electronic certificate.
