Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of Actuators, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Travel Award sponsored by Actuators.

The Evaluation Committee were very impressed with the high level of work presented. After careful consideration, the Travel Award has been granted to Dr. David Valiente, a postdoctoral fellow of Miguel Hernandez University, Spain. Dr. Valiente’s research work lays the groundwork for the innovative creation of a realistic, robust, and feasible mobile robotic system, which can be exploited through a wide range of real applications in autonomous robots.

The award consists of 800 Swiss Francs and is available for the winner to use for attendance and participation in academic conferences in 2019.

We would also like to deliver our great thanks to the Evaluation Committee members, Dr. Nicola P. Belfiore, Dr. Tobias Hemsel, Prof. Dr. Attilio Frangi, Prof. Dr. Carl R. Knospe, and Prof. Dr. Jose Luis Sanchez-Rojas for their comprehensive evaluation of the candidates.

Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Delbert Tesar
