Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will comprise selected papers from BioMedEng21, the largest gathering of Biomedical Engineers, Medical Engineers, and Bioengineers in the UK, which will be held at the University of Sheffield on 6–7 September 2021.
Following BioMedEng21, we will organise a Special Issue, soliciting the submission of papers focusing on image and signal processing, diagnostics, devices, and Sensors, in silico modelling, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. More specifically, the Special Issue will cover the topics specified below:
- Image and signal processing;
- Neuromotor assessment;
- Diagnostics, devices, and sensors for cardiovascular and respiratory applications;
- Methods and devices for biomechanical assessment chairs;
- In silico modelling;
- Cardiovascular mechanobiology;
- Devices and biomaterials;
- Biomaterials and tissue engineering;

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
