Robotics and Autonomous Systems

A section of Automation (ISSN 2673-4052).

Section Information

Robotics and Autonomous Systems is a multidisciplinary field focused on designing, building, and operating robots and autonomous systems that can perform tasks without direct human intervention. This field combines elements of mechanical engineering, control theory, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, computer vision, and sensors to create systems capable of performing complex tasks in dynamic, real-world environments.

Subject areas include but are not limited to the following:

  • Robot Control and Motion Planning;
  • Autonomous Vehicles and Autonomous Navigation;
  • Human–Robot Interaction (HRI);
  • Machine Learning and AI for Robotics;
  • Swarm Robotics;
  • Control and Automation in Robotic Grasping and Manipulation;
  • Ethics and Safety in Robotics;
  • Control and Automation in Industry 4.0.
