The Advanced Battery Power Conference 2023

Save the Date: Advanced Battery Power

15th International Conference on 27–28 April 2023, in Aachen, Germany

With more than 350 oral and poster submissions, expectations were once again exceeded for the international conference “Advanced Battery Power—Kraftwerk Batterie”, which will be held for the 15th time at the Eurogress in Aachen from 27 to 28 April 2023. The number of participants is also expected to be higher than last year.

In 2023, as every year, the international symposium “Advanced Battery Power” will again offer up-to-date insights into battery research and development. Participants can expect lectures, discussions, poster sessions, and keynotes from renowned scientists and industry representatives such as Prof. Y. Shirley Meng (University of Chicago), Prof. David Howey (University of Oxford), and Dr. Thomas Soczka-Guth (Daimler AG).

The conference is organized by the HDT (Haus der Technik), the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) of the RWTH Aachen University, the MEET Battery Research Center of the Westphalian Wilhelms University Münster, and the Helmholtz Institute Münster of the Research Center Jülich.

The Most Important Platform for the Battery Industry in Germany

Advanced Battery Power, which takes place as part of the Battery Conference, has become the most important platform in Germany for science and industry to exchange firsthand information about the current state and innovations in the battery industry. Prof. Martin Winter, the conference director comments, “The conference covers exactly the trends that will determine battery research today and tomorrow: This includes the extensive complex of the circular economy of batteries including sustainability and recycling as well as production research and next generation battery systems. In addition, data-driven solutions and artificial intelligence will shape battery research in the future.” Prof. Winter is also chairman of the congress, alongside Prof. Sauer.

The trade exhibition presents 50 national and international companies from industry, research, and practice.

The English-language conference will be held in person, but online participation is also possible.

Further information on the program and the opportunity to register can be found at www.battery-power.eu.

In the run-up to the conference on 26 April 2023, participants can find out about current topics in battery technology in 10 online specialist seminars. Further information: https://battery-power.eu/vorseminare/.
