Dear colleagues,
The scope of this Special Issue is to provide an update on the mechanisms that regulate the transport and homeostasis of main intracellular cations within mammalian cells, as a framework to understand the role these cations play in cellular and system physiology, and how these roles are altered under major pathological conditions, including inflammation, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer, just to name a few. New assessment techniques or biological assays, original research articles, and review articles are suitable for consideration in this Special issue.
