Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Paediatric dermatopathology covers a wide range of disorders including genodermatoses, cutaneous and sub-cutaneous tumours, and inflammatory disorders.

Three years ago, we brought out a first Special Issue dedicated to paediatric dermatopathology. In it, topics such as paediatric panniculitis, auto-inflammatory disorders, paediatric melanoma, tuberous sclerosis complex, spindle-cell neoplasms, congenital cysts, and veinous malformations were addressed, and the articles attracted many readers. The success of the first Special Issue confirmed that dermatopathologists feel the need to have to hand thorough updates on the important subjects of dermatopathology; and so we decided to publish another Special Issue in this field. This new Special Issue will endeavour to complement the first one with a whole range of topics of paediatric dermatopathology, focusing on conditions that have not been treated up until now in this journal, such as paediatric vasculitis, paediatric cutaneous lymphoma, and other haematological disorders, paediatric tumours, desmosomal genodermatoses, keratinopathic ichthyoses, pediatric melanonychias, some disorders of mucous membranes in children, and paediatric cutaneous mucinoses.

We will again have prestigious authors, both dermatopathologists and clinicians, who are experts in these fields. This Special Issue, like the first one, is aimed at dermatologists and pathologists who are interested in paediatric dermatopathology. No doubt this new Special Issue will be as successful as the first one.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Dermatopathology is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1200 CHF (Swiss Francs).
