Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Permanent magnet motors are at the forefront of modern power technology, offering superior efficiency, compactness, and performance compared to traditional electric motors. The ongoing research and development in this field have led to revolutionary breakthroughs that promise to shape the future of power systems and applications across various industries.

This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to the design, optimization, and applications of permanent magnet motors. We invite original research papers and review articles that highlight cutting-edge developments and innovative solutions in permanent magnet motor technology.

Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Advanced design methodologies for permanent magnet motors, including electromagnetic design, thermal analysis, vibration, and noise reduction approaches.
  • Computational modelling and simulation techniques for permanent magnet motors, encompassing finite element analysis and other numerical methods.
  • Innovative materials and manufacturing techniques for enhancing the performance and cost-effectiveness of permanent magnet motors.
  • Applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the design, control, and optimization of permanent magnet motors.
  • High-performance control strategies for permanent magnet motors, including sensorless control, torque ripple minimization, and efficiency optimization.
  • Integration of permanent magnet motors in various applications, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, industrial automation, and aerospace.

We look forward to your valuable contributions that will drive forward the understanding and application of permanent magnet motors, ultimately paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable future.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
