Dear Colleagues,
Banning the use of natural gas for heating in residential buildings has already started with New York City being the latest which is following the trend. Soon, the demand for residential heat pumps will skyrocket. The cost of new installations can only be reduced by making the commercial systems more energy-efficient and last longer. This issue of Energies is dedicated to addressing the energy efficiency improvements in residential heat pumps. Research related to energy efficiency, sustainability, cost reduction, assistive technologies, and combined and hybrid systems will be published in this Special Issue. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
