Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Lithium-ion batteries are becoming quickly utilized in electric vehicles and energy storage markets. A battery management system (BMS) is an important link between the power battery and electric vehicle. The battery management system is equivalent to the central nervous system of the battery, which is used to regulate and control the voltage and optimize the efficiency of the battery according to the structure type of the system, preventing the overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature, and over-current of a single battery. On the other hand, the battery energy storage system is another main component for electric vehicles, directly determining the driving mileage; therefore, developing a high energy density and high safety battery is vital in promoting the further development of electric vehicles.
This Special Issue welcomes contributions from researchers in the electrochemical, material, physical and electrical science and engineering fields on the following topics:
- Battery management system;
- Battery energy management system;
- Advanced battery thermal management system;
- SOC, SOE, SOH estimation for battery management systems;
