Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Special Issue “Sustainable Energy Technologies: Advancements in Infrastructure and Supply Chain” calls for papers dealing with scientific, technical, and policy advancements around the infrastructure and supply chain of sustainable energy technologies. Over the last couple of decades, renewable energy has experienced an unprecedented growth across the world. Developments in the fields of energy storage, electric mobility, and smart meters are also transforming the global energy scenario. The technical and scientific developments in sustainable and low carbon technologies are being well supported by advancements in infrastructure and supply chain in wide-ranging areas including renewable technologies, electric vehicles, energy storage, and smart grids. Up-scaling and offshore application of wind turbines, for example, have taken the involved infrastructure and supply chain to new limits. Similarly, there are massive infrastructure developments around electric vehicles. This Special Issue aims to cover the advancements in infrastructure and the supply chain of sustainable energy technologies. Papers are invited on topics including but not limited to renewable energy, infrastructures, supply chain, wind power, solar energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, wave and tidal power, electric vehicles, smart meters, environment, sustainability, life cycle analysis, and life cycle costing. Papers on these topics can have a diverse scope (i.e., scientific advancement and technology innovation, industrial and commercial practices, business and software tools, and case studies).

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
