Special Issue Information

Dear Colleague,

Contamination and infections from foodborne pathogenic microorganisms pose an enormous threat to food production and global public health. The accurate and rapid detection of pathogenic microorganisms early on is not only significant for public health, but also for food safety, environmental monitoring and clinical diagnosis. Traditional methods include complicated pretreatments and decoding analysis procedures, which are cumbersome and time-consuming. Considering the limitations of traditional technology, it is important to develop alternative novel methods to rapidly and precisely detect pathogenic bacteria to ensure food safety. In addition, with the excessive use of antibiotics and toxic fungal contamination, bacterial resistance and toxins from fungi have become major challenges in public health and food safety. Developing new bacterial prevention and control technologies is significant to ensure food safety and can contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of the food industr
