Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Digital healthcare provides a vast array of opportunities and has the potential to enhance the quality of patient care. Traditional clinical history, examination, differential diagnosis, and therapy may be enhanced by modern cutting-edge technologies (IoT, 5G, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain and more). The latest pandemic has hastened this future arrival, yet significant worries remain. These include ensuring that new technologies are adequately evaluated and deployed with forethought so that data are unified into care records and that digital tools are eventually supported by enough clinical resources. Furthermore, electronic healthcare record storage, analysis and transmission need to be achieved in an efficient and secure way so that every citizen worldwide can benefit from healthcare facilities in a timely manner.

The aim of this Special Issue is to explore the role of cutting-edge technologies in healthcare. The scope of the SI will include but will not be limited to the following topics:

  1. Big data analytics for 5G-enabled IoT healthcare;
  2. Blockchain for secure EHRS sharing of e-health systems;
  3. How to exploit 5G networks for e-health security and privacy challenges;
  4. Improving eHealth security using AI and blockchain;
  5. Improving telehealth security using 5G and cloud;
  6. An innovative eHealth system powered by cutting-edge technologies;
  7. How can healthcare keep pace with cutting-edge technology;

and any other research that helps to improve healthcare using cutting-edge technologies.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) those mentioned in the scope above.

We look forward to receiving your contributions so that people worldwide can benefit from them.
