Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health is pleased to announce a call for papers for a Special Issue on “Marginalized Populations and Mental Well-Being: A Public Health Concern”. The journal invites researchers and clinicians to contribute an article that examines marginalized populations and their mental well-being. We know that mental health disparities remain a significant public health challenge for all marginalized populations and that they experience on-going barriers with health care. We are inviting manuscripts that focus on a specific marginalized population while also discussing, with literature support, the mental health disparities experienced by the people. In addition, we would like manuscripts to then discuss, with literature support, any proven actions that have been found to build mental well-being within the specific marginalized population of focus. Furthermore, we are looking for suggestions regarding other actions—with justification—that need to be tested for addressing mental health disparities in the specific marginalized population of focus.
