Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is well-known that adverse early experiences may have negative and persistent effects on health and well-being later in life. Moreover, recent advances in developmental psychobiology suggest that early adversity may be associated with long-lasting biomarkers, as well as potentially being involved in the long-term programming of behavioral, socio-emotional, and socio-cognitive developmental trajectories. Papers addressing the psychological and/or psychobiological consequences of adverse early experiences in children and adolescents are invited as contributions to this Special Issue. Different manuscript types will be considered, according to journal guidelines.
