Dear Colleagues,
An early diagnosis of high-impact human disease not only helps prevent disease development but also allows for personalized medicine approaches to be used. Despite recent advances in biological research, many challenges remain in the application of new biosensor technologies for molecular diagnostics. The broad, unmet need for early diagnosis necessitates the development of biosensor platforms that can accurately detect multiple biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity.
This Special Issue of IJMS is focused on recent progress in biosensors. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Biosensors with high sensitivity for detecting molecular biomarkers in complex biological samples;
- Liquid-biopsy-based biosensors for high-impact human disease for the molecular profiling of high-impact diseases;
- Biosensor platforms assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) for molecular data interpretation and risk assessment.
We welcome the submission of topics related to addressing the molecular aspects of biosensor development and application. Since IJMS is a journal of molecular science, purely clinical studies will not be suitable.
