Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce a call for manuscripts for a Special Issue focusing on “Molecular Advances in Veterinary Forensic Science”. This issue is dedicated to expanding our knowledge and improving practices in the field of veterinary forensics, addressing several key aspects:

  1. Forensic Pathology and Necropsy: We are interested in research that explores forensic pathology techniques and necropsy findings in animals at the molecular level. This includes case studies, methodology advancements, and interpretations that aid in legal investigations.
  2. Forensic Toxicology: We are seeking studies that investigate the detection and effects of toxic substances in animals, focusing on molecular toxicology. This includes advancements in toxicological testing methods, case reports on poisoning incidents, and the implications for animal and public health.
  3. DNA Analysis in Veterinary Forensics: Manuscripts that examine the use of DNA analysis for species identification, individual identification, and resolving animal-related crimes are crucial. This encompasses research on the latest DNA technologies and their application in forensic cases.
  4. Case Studies in Veterinary Forensics: Detailed case studies that provide insights into the practical applications of molecular forensic science are particularly welcome. These studies should highlight the methodologies used and the outcomes of the investigations.

We believe that this Special Issue will serve as an important platform for sharing research findings, insights, and innovations in these crucial areas of veterinary forensic science. Your contributions will help in shaping better practices and policies, ultimately contributing to improved legal and healthcare outcomes. We look forward to receiving your submissions and to the valuable discussions that they will undoubtedly inspire.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English.
