Dear Colleagues,
In recent years, the role of inflammation in ocular pathologies has been increasingly recognized. Inflammation constitutes a fundamental mechanism not only in ocular infections and uveitis, but also in numerous other ocular conditions, ranging from ocular surface alterations to retinal diseases, where low-grade chronic inflammation plays a decisive role. Delving into the role of inflammation in all ocular pathologies is of paramount importance because it enables an enhanced understanding of the mechanisms of such pathologies, and consequently, an improvement in their therapeutic management. This Special Issue aims to gather all research that delves into the topic of inflammation in ocular diseases, with a particular focus on their etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapeutic management.
