Special Issue Information
This Special Issue is derived from the WorldCIST 2025, focusing on the latest advancements and applications of information technologies across diverse domains. It aims to showcase extended versions of high-quality conference papers and invite submissions from authors outside the conference whose work aligns with the scope of this Special Issue. This issue will highlight how information technologies are driving innovation in knowledge management, intelligent systems, and societal applications, addressing real-world challenges and opening new research directions.
As this Special Issue is associated with a conference, the authors of invited papers should note that the final submitted manuscript must contain a minimum of 50% new content and not exceed 30% of the original conference proceedings.
The scope of this Special Issue includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Information and Knowledge Management: Novel approaches to data mining, information extraction, and knowledge representation, including semantic networks and knowledge graphs.
- Intelligent and Decision Support Systems: Applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and optimization algorithms in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Big Data Analytics and Applications: Advanced techniques for analyzing and interpreting large datasets in healthcare, education, business, and beyond.
- Human–Computer Interactions and Multimedia Systems: Innovations in user experience design, interactive technologies, and multimedia data processing.
- Computer Networks, Mobility, and Pervasive Systems: Emerging trends in 5G, IoT, edge computing, and mobile communication systems.
- Ethics, Security, and Privacy in Information Systems: Critical discussions on data protection, cybersecurity, and the ethical implications of information technologies.
- Health Informatics and Biomedical Applications: The role of information technologies in medical imaging, electronic health records, and telemedicine.
- Information Technologies in Education and Radiocommunications: Applications of IT in online learning platforms, educational data analysis, and wireless communication systems.
- Software Systems, Architectures, and Tools: The design and development of software systems, including cloud computing, microservices, and development tools.
- Organizational Models and Information Systems: The integration of IT in organizational processes, including enterprise systems, business process management, and digital transformation.
This Special Issue will serve as a platform for researchers and practitioners to share their insights, innovations, and solutions, contributing to the growing body of knowledge in information science and technology. We welcome submissions that demonstrate the transformative potential of information technologies in addressing complex challenges and improving societal outcomes.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Information is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
