Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Advancements in minimally invasive neurosurgery have revolutionized the treatment of complex neurosurgical conditions and offer improved precision and reduced patient morbidity. This Special Issue highlights key innovations that include refined endoscopic techniques, robot-assisted platforms, and image-guided navigation systems, which boost intraoperative visualization and accuracy. These provide safe and effective therapies for patients. Enhanced targeted interventions are provided by innovations in laser ablation, focused ultrasound, and biomarker-driven approaches. These have transformed the treatment of tumors, vascular malformations, and epilepsy with minimal tissue disruption. Clinical outcomes demonstrate faster patient recovery, fewer complications, and better functional preservation compared to traditional surgical methods. Employing these techniques exposes challenges in the training of surgeons and standardization of protocols. Opportunities in emerging AI integration technology and personalized therapeutic strategies signal a transformative era in neurosurgical care.
