Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of the Journal of Personalized Medicine, titled "Surgical Innovation and Accuracy Advancement in Orthopedics." This Special Issue aims to report the current advancements and research in orthopedic surgery, focusing on key areas that are driving significant improvements in surgical outcomes.

Orthopedics has witnessed remarkable technological progress in recent years, and we seek to highlight cutting-edge research and innovative practices that are transforming the field. We welcome original research articles and comprehensive reviews that address the following themes:

  1. Robotic Surgery in Orthopedics

The integration of robotic systems into orthopedic surgery has revolutionized the precision and efficacy of procedures. We invite submissions that explore the development, implementation, and outcomes of robotic-assisted surgeries. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, advances in robotic surgical techniques and tools, comparative studies on robotic versus traditional surgical methods, and patient outcomes and satisfaction with robotic surgery.

  1. Arthroplasty: Innovations and Outcomes

Arthroplasty remains a cornerstone in the management of severe joint diseases. This section will focus on novel approaches and outcomes in joint replacement, including knee, hip, and shoulder, as well as the long-term outcomes of these innovations. We seek papers on new materials and designs for joint prostheses, rehabilitation protocols and patient quality of life post-arthroplasty, and the clinical application of artificial intelligence for arthroplasty.

  1. Radiologic and Clinical Outcome Measurement

Accurate measurement of clinical and radiologic outcomes is crucial for evaluating the success of orthopedic interventions. This section invites research on advanced imaging techniques, outcome measurement methods, and their implications for clinical practice. Topics include innovations in imaging modalities for orthopedic diagnosis and follow-up, standardization of clinical outcome measures in orthopedic research, correlation between radiologic findings and clinical outcomes, and the development of new assessment methods.

  1. Innovations in Spine Surgery

Spine surgery has seen significant advancements in techniques, technologies, and patient outcomes. This section will focus on recent developments in spinal procedures, surgical outcomes, and postoperative care. We invite submission on minimally invasive spine surgery, innovations in spinal implants and materials, advances in spinal deformity correction, and outcome measurement for predicting clinical outcomes.

We believe your expertise and research in orthopedic surgery to improve clinical outcomes would make a significant contribution to this Special Issue. Submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, impactful research.

We look forward to your valuable contribution to this Special Issue and to advancing the field of orthopedic surgery together.

Sincerely,

Dr. Seong Hwan Kim

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Personalized Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
