Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to submit a paper for peer review and possible publication in a Special Issue of the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (www.mdpi.com/journal/jrfm, ISSN 1911-8074) on “Innovations and Challenges in Commercial Real Estate”. As Guest Editors for the Special Issue, we are confident that you will make an outstanding contribution to this issue, given your expertise and significant involvement in the development of this field.
In an era marked by rapid progress in information technology, e-commerce, AI, big data, and environmental sustainability, commercial real estate investment and development face significant challenges. Technological disruptions and market uncertainties introduce new risks for commercial real estate investors, who must consider out-of-the-box comprehensive risk management and portfolio diversification strategies. The rise of e-commerce has transformed consumer behavior and preferences, leading to changes in the demand for commercial real estate space. How should traditional retail space owners adapt to new technologies and repurpose their properties? With the increasing prevalence of remote and flexible work arrangements, commercial tenants are seeking more adaptable and multifunctional spaces. How should real estate developers design and configure properties to accommodate the evolving workplace dynamics and tenant needs? Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations are increasingly influencing commercial real estate investment decisions. Given such rapid economic, technological, and regulatory shifts, we welcome submissions on various topics related to commercial real estate, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Emerging trends in commercial real estate development;
- Risk management strategies for commercial property portfolios;
- Retail and office space optimization in the era of remote work and e-commerce;
- Commercial property investment and valuation methodologies;
- Sustainable practices and green building initiatives in commercial properties;
- Technological advancements shaping the future of commercial real estate;
- Regulatory and legal challenges in commercial real estate transactions;
- Impact of economic cycles and global events on commercial property markets;
- Urban planning and its implications for commercial real estate development.
If our proposal interests you, please feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas regarding manuscripts.
We are looking forward to your valuable submissions.
