Travel Award

As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (JSAN), I am pleased to announce the winner of the JSAN Travel Award 2017:
The award was granted to Ms. Daniela Becker, a PhD student at the Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany. Ms. Becker has been employed by Robert Bosch LLC and has worked at the Security and Privacy Research Group of the Bosch Research and Technology Center North America since November 2015 while pursuing Ph.D. degree.
Ms. Becker’s research aims to analyze and develop postquantum secure cryptographic solutions, optimized for use in hardware-rich scenarios such as sensor networks in the automotive domain, the smart home setting or manufacturing solutions. She has presented her work on “Towards Post-Quantum Secure Encryption in the IoT-world” as a poster at the Design Automation Conference 2017, Austin, TX, USA.
The award consisted of 800 Swiss Francs for her to attend an academic conference in 2017.
